Make it easier for the children to keep their playroom tidied up by having several baskets where they can put away their blocks and other toys.  (We like keeping an extra basket empty in the playroom, so children have a basket for play when they need one.)  Clean-up can be a fun game especially if you add some fun songs, and when children have a tidy place to store their toys.  These baskets are so beautiful they look nice in a living room or family living space - with toys neatly at the ready for more play.  These baskets are also very easy to shape.  Just get them wet and shape or re-shape them to your liking.

Proceeds from the Sale of these African Market Baskets Support Bolgatanga Families

Bolgatanga is the largest town in the Upper East region of Ghana, near the southern edge of the Sahara Desert, and 20 miles from the border with Burkina Faso.  Although the soil is fertile, the sun blazes all through the dry season, making agriculture very difficult.  These market baskets provide much needed funds for thousands of families in the region, and today a large percentage of the villagers weave these baskets as their main income.  By purchasing a basket you are greatly helping the weavers in Africa.  Proceeds from the sale of our African Market Baskets help to: Provide health care for the weavers and their families; provide school supplies for the children of weavers; build community weaving centers for several villages of weavers.
