Children love playing chimes!  First introduced in 1986, the Chimalong (also called Chimalong Jr.) is still one of the most popular children's musical instruments.  Tuned to C Major, the Chimalong includes 9 metal chimes/tubes and can be arranged to play in C or F.  Comes with an extra #7 (B-flat) tube, which changes the B (for key of C) to B flat (for key of G), giving greater musical flexibility. Remove two tubes and it becomes a sweet pentatonic instrument!  The Chimalong can be played by number, color or notes.  The included "Tubetunes" book teaches kids to play songs by matching colors or numbers, while older children can use the set to learn standard musical notation.  Comes with two mallets & color coded songbook. Packaged in a window box.
